GET STOKED Riverland Murraylands
Purpose:
Light House Youth Projects Incorporated will deliver GET STOKED Riverland Murraylands across the Murraylands and Riverland districts.
GET STOKED sessions are designed to support young people to overcome barriers to employment and social inclusion, and support young people into continued education and employment pathways through the development of authentic self–confidence, soft skills and awareness of local training and employment opportunities. The BMX acts as an engagement tool, and the mobile mechanical workshop allows attendees to try their hand at bike mechanics and experience an alternative learning environment, while getting their own bikes serviced.
Following the GET STOKED sessions, the program will offer continuing support for transitioning into employment or training pathways, with consistent communication regarding opportunities and light touch case management and mentoring.
