Defining the role of immunotherapy and immune biomarkers in head and neck and cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas
Purpose:
This project aims to improve the outcomes of patients with advanced head and neck cancers with a focus on skin cancer and human papilloma virus associated cancers of the tonsil and base of tongue, taking advantage of new knowledge about the biology of the cancer and responsiveness to immunotherapy. Aims include improving our understanding of predictors of benefit from immunotherapy, and extending the use of immunotherapy into new indications in these cancers.
