Purpose:
My research program for the next 5 years aims to assess: 1) How small molecules present in the blood can be used as biomarkers to evaluate disease severity, progression rate (Prognostic) and response to treatment for neurodegenerative diseases; 2) How we can alter the expression of enzymes with existing and/or newly developed drugs for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases (Therapeutic).
