Grant Activity:
Implementation of an innovative teledermatology network for the early detection of melanoma in high risk Australians
Purpose:
This project aims to improve the early detection of melanoma for those at highest risk, using recent advances in imaging technology. We will also examine how telehealth approaches (eg. secure on-line transfer and assessment of images) can improve access to specialised monitoring of moles. Detecting melanoma as early as possible will result in improved treatment outcomes and reduce the burden melanoma places on individuals, their families and the health system.
