Upcoming Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) grants
Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) is a key program in the suite of settlement services. SETS is an early intervention program that equips and empowers eligible clients and communities to address their identified settlement needs in order to improve social participation, economic well-being, independence, personal well-being and community connectedness.
The SETS grants will fund two components of the SETS program:
- SETS - Client Services
- SETS - Community Capacity Building.
The SETS Grant Opportunities will run until June 2022.
The Department of Social Services will typically offer grant agreements to:
- SETS - Client Services service providers for three-and-a-half years covering the period January 2019 to June 2022; and
- SETS - Community Capacity Building service providers for three years covering the period July 2019 to June 2022.
The Australian Government has allocated up to $162 million (GST exclusive) over this period for SETS. The Department will determine the appropriate grant funding for each grant on a case-by-case basis, which will be determined based on the service regions applied for, numbers of potential clients, the circumstances of the clients/community, and the Department’s policy priorities.
Each component will be subject to an open competitive grant opportunity.
These grant opportunities are expected to open from 15 May 2018 to 26 June 2018.
