The Medical Research Future Fund - Emerging Priorities and Consumer Driven Research Initiative is designed to support high quality research that improves patient care, translates new discoveries and encourages joint collaboration of consumers and researchers in undertaking research in emerging priority areas.
The objective of this grant opportunity is to investigate evidence-based prevention and treatment options for individuals at risk of, or suffering from, accelerated silicosis caused by engineered stone. To be competitive for funding, applicants must propose to conduct research that delivers against this objective.
The intended outcome of the research funded by this grant opportunity is to improve our understanding of pathology, prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment of accelerated silicosis caused by engineered stone and to inform policy and regulatory approaches to managing existing and emerging risks in dust diseases.
